Frequently Asked Questions

What is coaching?

Coaching is where we engage in a co-creative relationship, with myself employing deep listening, empathetic presence, powerful questions, support, accountability, and a safe, courageous, and creative place to help you work through your challenges to manifest your potential for your exciting second half.

Here at the Creative Midlife Man is where we collaborate and use all of our resources of intelligence, imagination, and curiosity to help you with truly the most important art project of your life…YOUR SECOND HALF OF LIFE.

Flow is where you are your best self, your most inspiring self, your most courageous self.

So why not we as artists get together to work on creating your best self to create your best art with flow in mind?

Is coaching therapy?

No. I’m not a trained therapist or counselor. Though my sessions will involve some work on your past, my job is to push you forward to reconnect you with your art by helping you create a consistent practice of creating. As my teacher Cody Williams once said: “Therapy is like archeology, coaching is like architecture.”

If you are experiencing overwhelm and strong negative emotions, I would strongly advise seeking a professional therapist. Therapy has really helped me in so many ways.

Is coaching consulting?

No. Although I supply you with methods and tools that have helped prepare me for my second half, you will be in the driver’s seat. It won’t be as easy as taking a class or reading a book. That’s because long-lasting change and growth isn’t supposed to be that easy. That’s why invest in yourself, that’s why you work on yourself. The path is tough and long to do this on your own.

That’s exactly why I’m here.
