About Me

My Story

At the end of 2020, after twenty years of writing literary fiction without publishing, I finally walked away to regroup, reflect, and ask myself what truly mattered to me.

Without the pressure to succeed, I rediscovered the pure joy of creating — through journaling, drawing, and playing music.

It was in that liminal space where I realized I hadn’t lost the fire inside my belly at all. It was just simply waiting for me to return.

And so I began to heal — through therapy for my mind, meditation and yoga for my body, and my studying of neuroscience, psychology, mythology, and philosophy to understand and explore my self, the stories I tell to myself, and the practices and habits I must adopt in order to be my best in my midlife.

And yes — I returned to writing, and have since published.

But what I found along the way was something much bigger and more important than that — it was a new way to live and create, one of meaning, curiosity, connection, joy, and fulfillment.

THIS is why I created The Creative Midlife Man!
